What this site is for
This is a patient decision guide to focused ultrasound tightening, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It narrows the energy-based treatment pages of this cluster rather than repeating them: what this technology class is and how the device categories differ are answered there. What this site adds is the part that decides the outcome for one person — whether the looseness is in the skin or beneath it, what the treatment cannot reach, what the months afterwards look like, and when the honest answer is an operation, another treatment, or nothing.
The property everything turns on
Energy is concentrated at a depth the operator chooses, and the surface above it is left intact. That is why a session leaves no wound and no reason to stay home, and it is also why there is no resurfacing effect at all: pores, scars, pigment and etched creases are not what changes. The depth is an anatomical decision, because the layer that produces a tightening response sits near small sensory nerves and, in some places, near a compartment of fat. Treating at the wrong level either does nothing useful or puts one of those at risk. Everything here is written from that property rather than from a device description.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not name devices, manufacturers or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present the treatment as a lift, and it does not treat a modest change over months as a substitute for the operation that removes skin. It does not explain how a device produces its effect, because that belongs to the energy-based treatment pages, and it does not list the conditions the treatment is used for, because a list of indications is not a decision aid. It states the ceiling before the plan in every guide that describes a course.
How the content is reviewed and corrected
Tongchun Mao, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Aesthetic Surgery, is the responsible physician. Every guide is reviewed against his clinical judgement before publication and reviewed again on a twelve-month cycle. If you find something unclear, out of date or wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us, and corrections are made to the page itself.
